Learning the seasons in your room
I have to type this entry up super fast because then I have to go paint a mural. Seriously, that’s how inspired I am.

Rachel has decorated her nursery with an incredibly beautiful tree mural. Aside from being a fine piece of artwork, it is an educational tool as well because she uses fabric and paper to make birds, and has plans to make blossoms for Spring, green leaves for Summer, and leaves of red, yellow, and brown for Autumn. Rachel simply uses blu tack to stick them to the tree, which makes it easy to switch them out according to the seasons.
She says it only took her about four hours, even at more than nine months pregnant, and her simple instructions don’t require any pain-in-the-butt taping and outlining.
You have no idea how badly I want to go do one RIGHT NOW, never mind that it’s ten at night.
On the other hand, maybe I’ll wait until we finally switch the kids’ small room with the larger extra bedroom that’s currently being used as a studio. I’d hate to do this only to make the switch in a few months and end up with a big pile of recording gear covering it up!
