Crafty Wednesday - Edible play dough
I found this from a friend of mine, a fun little recipe for edible play dough. When I buy the commercial kind, I always make sure that it’s non-toxic, especially since my youngest still has a tendency to put things in her mouth. I’m often heard saying, “Hey! Hey! Non-toxic does NOT mean edible!”
So when I found out you can make a dough that can be played with but is indeed edible, I was all over it. Of course, if you have a nut allergy in your family, it will be off limits, but assuming you’re okay with nut products…
It’s very simple to make and you likely have all you need in your pantry right now.
-1 cup peanut butter
-1/2 cup honey
- Powdered milk
Mix the peanut butter and honey, then add powdered milk until the mixture feels doughy.
Step back and let your kids play with some homemade play dough, and if they can’t resist the yummy smell and they have to take a bite? Well, hey, snack time is taken care of too!
