About Sherry
Hi there! My name is Sherry and I’m your friendly neighborhood Inside Motherhood blogger. I’m a Canadian mom and I have two kids, both girls. One is five and in school, the other is two and learning about independence (a little too much!).
I’ve been blogging in various spots for years - I started blogging in 2000, and prior to the blog revolution I wrote online journal entries, coded by hand (!), since 1998. I love blogging because it allows you to reach and share with so many people we never could have known without this medium. One thing I always wanted to blog about is parenthood. I do have a personal blog but it’s more anecdotal and not topic-specific so I longed to be able to focus on parenting as a whole (and still use anecdotal posts as well!). When I got the opportunity to write here at Inside Motherhood, I leaped at the chance!
I’ll never claim to be an expert. Ever. Like I said, I only have two kids, it’s not like I’ve been exposed to a large scientific sampling of children. And there are days I cry, want to rip my hair out, and wonder if I have enough money for a bus ride to the opposite side of the country just because I don’t know how to handle a parenting problem. However, that’s exactly why I love this site - because we’re not experts but we can share and pass on tips and talk it up about what parenting is all about.
